The Father of Jesus on the Throne

Revelation 4:1-11

The Main Point: We place our hope in the God of glory.

John sees the beauty of the God of glory. (vv1-3; Ex 19:19-20; Ezek 1:27b-28)

Elders stand before the perfect power of the God of glory. (vv4-6a; Isa 6:5; Rev 15:2)

Living creatures serve the eternal holiness of the God of glory. (vv6b-8; Ezek 1:5-6, 10-11; Isa 6:33)

All things worship the supremacy of the God of glory. (vv9-11)

We place our hope in the God of glory.

We experience God’s glory through salvation in Jesus Christ. (Ex 33:20; Rev 1:17-18; Heb 1:3)

We experience God’s glory through serving Him. (Isa 43:7; 1 Cor 10:31)

We experience God’s glory through worshipping Him.
